Hi! I’m Luming—a portrait photographer based in Ithaca, NY. Coming from a background in psychology and digital art, I bring a unique perspective on human expression and visual storytelling. My approach is all about natural light and genuine emotion—creating images that bring out your true essence with a touch of artistry.

The name of my brand, lumingnate, comes from a blend of meanings—Ming in Chinese means light or brightness, which beautifully resonates with the word luminate in English. Light is at the heart of photography—it shapes what we see and how we feel. Through my lens, I aim to capture not just visuals but emotions—turning fleeting moments into something you can feel again and again.

My work has been recognized and published by Vogue Italia and Getty Images. While portrait photography is my main focus, I also love carrying my camera with me to capture the small, beautiful moments that often go unnoticed.
